Tapping Into Shared Consciousness?

While I was out running yesterday, it dawned on me that happiness isn’t achieved by accomplishing a goal but pursuing the said goal. Feeling that you have a purpose and are working to fulfill that purpose is a feeling that is unlike any other. It obviously feels good to achieve your goals, but that feeling is fleeting. Once the plan is completed, it’s time to move on to the next thing. In those situations, I like to enjoy the success and sit with it for a little. But if you enjoy it for too long and it’s easy to fall back into bad habits and rest on your laurels. At least, it is for me. But anyway, I was out for a run yesterday, and this thought came to me. I even recorded a couple of videos on my phone about it. Then a friend from college I hadn’t seen for a while came over, and he brought up the same topic in conversation. Of course, this is just my intuition, but I think life shows us things to let us know we’re on the right track. It can be in a conversation or a line in a song on the radio, or an article in a magazine you happen to pick up. Maybe it’s all coincidence, and perhaps it’s the thought that life is working with you that allows us to take some risks or put ourselves out there. Maybe just the belief that life has our back will enable us to succeed or give us the chance to be successful. And at the end of the day, does it really matter? If the belief that life has our back isn’t hurting anyone, it allows us to follow our dreams. So why not add that belief to your toolbox?
